Our Values
Nurturing Community
When we analyze life expectancy statistics around the world, the places with the greatest longevity have one major quality in common: a deep focus on community. The cultivation of human connection is an essential ingredient to the wealth of life, and resources found in community—shared experiences, support, empowerment, passion, belonging, inspiration, and opportunity—are the building blocks for mental wellness. Jessy’s Cove seeks to create products that shatter the barriers between ourselves and the depth of connection.
Ethically-Sourced Pure Ingredients
Our pure herbal extracts and supplements are sourced from a NSF Certified & FDA-registered cGMP manufacturing and distribution facility located in Henderson, Nevada. The extracts are tested by a vetted 3rd party US-based laboratory to further ensure safety and purity. This means our ingredients are never contaminated with pesticides, metals, fillers, or extraneous plant parts. The wellness of the community working to provide high quality ingredients is important to, both, us and our supplier. Their diligent workers are protected under US labor laws in a facility maintained by all health code and government regulations.
Environmentally Friendly Packing Materials
At Jessy’s Cove, we prioritize sustainable environmentally friendly packaging materials, such as recyclable and compostable kraft packers, compostable mailers, biodegradable packing tape/stickers, and recycled corrugated cardboard boxes. Making conscious choices to sustain a circular economy and responsibly steward the resources entrusted to us by our creator, is an act of love. To protect the Earth, is to protect, both, ourselves and future generations.
Giving and Collective Care
Collective care is the act of making an individual’s wellbeing a responsibility of the community (rather than the lone task of the affected person). Jessy’s Cove advances this through centering a culture of giving/donation, service, and economic equity. We are each other’s strength and there has never been a more crucial time to lead like it. We work together to build and maintain communities in need, which, as a result of oppressive systems, are primarily people of color.
Healthy Healing
In a world that challenges our strength, caring for oneself is an act of fortitude. We believe our individual healing journeys should not only include actions within our lifestyle, but also the provision of trustworthy effective integrative healthcare products. Integrative therapeutics, such as medicinal herbs, allow the individual to take control of their healing beyond traditional allopathic medicine, and stray away from destructive methods of coping. Moreover, these therapies assist the mind and body in strengthening its own natural healing mechanisms. Healing is not something that is earned but rather a birth-right that is uniquely defined by an individual. Join us on our journey in making self-care accessible and healing collective.
Meet Our Founder
Jessica
Owner and Founder
As someone who’s struggled with sleep issues since middle school—Jessica is her toughest client. Fed-up with finding little success from solely dry-herb teas, various melatonin gummies, lifestyle changes, and unnerved by the side effects of pharmaceuticals, Jessica decided it was time to create the product she needed: The Dream Dose.
But how did she get here?
Growing up in a family of healthcare leaders from surgeons to nurses, instilled in her the understanding that what we put in our body is integral to our long-term health. Something as simple as a plant-based diet or regular intake of superfoods can reverse chronic health conditions—meaning, plants can truly be medicine.
The moment Jessica knew she wanted to be a part of one’s physical and mental healing journey is when she realized how deeply it is connected to one’s spiritual health as well. When Jessica was 19, she went on a mission trip to Nicaragua where her team provided free health clinics. She was able to witness first-hand how providing resources for a healthier mind and body lifted people’s spirits and gave them hope for a future of wellbeing. Moreover, she noticed one of the greatest reliefs for anyone is to witness that someone, whether near or far, deeply cares.
Today, nearly 10 years later, Jessica continues her fervor for healthcare at Eastern Virginia Medical School aiding in the diagnosis of various skin cancers/diseases as a Histotechnologist. She pairs her background in Biology (B.S), undergraduate coursework in Native American and African Medicinal Botany, and graduate level Pharmacology to understand the mechanisms of how plants function and affect our bodies on a cellular level. Furthermore, Jessica is continuing her studies to earn her certification in Integrative and Natural Medicine.
As someone battling sleep insufficiency—she turned to holistic medicine for the solution. Jessica has combined these experiences with her passion for service to dream up Jessy’s Cove. Now, she is inviting the world to dream too.
